Overview

ShotCraft is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Everything happens on your Mac.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

ShotCraft does not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Screenshots or images you import into the App
• AI-generated headlines or marketing copy
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Device identifiers or fingerprints
• Location data

2. On-Device Processing

All functionality in ShotCraft runs locally on your Mac:

• AI Headlines: Generated using Apple Foundation Models, which run entirely on-device. No screenshots or text are sent to any server.
• Screenshot Analysis: Color detection, text recognition, and content classification all use Apple's Vision framework locally.
• Image Rendering: All template rendering and export processing happens on your Mac.
• Project Storage: Your projects are stored locally using SwiftData in your Mac's application container.

3. No Tracking

ShotCraft does not use any tracking technologies:

• No analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
• No advertising identifiers
• No cookies or web tracking
• No third-party data sharing

As declared in our App Privacy Manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy): NSPrivacyTracking is set to false.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. ShotCraft does not process, store, or have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment-related data handling.

5. System APIs Used

ShotCraft uses the following system APIs as declared in our privacy manifest:

• File Timestamp API:Used to track project modification dates for sorting and display.
• UserDefaults API:Used to store app preferences (such as onboarding status and theme settings). No personal data is stored.

6. Data Retention

Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to retain. Your projects and preferences are stored locally on your Mac and can be deleted at any time by removing the App or its data from your system.

7. Children's Privacy

ShotCraft does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not collect personal information from any user.

8. Third-Party Services

ShotCraft does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The only external interaction is with Apple's StoreKit for subscription management, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Your Rights

Since ShotCraft does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have any questions about your privacy, please contact us.

11. Disclaimer of Liability

While ShotCraft is designed to protect your privacy by processing everything locally, we make no warranties or representations regarding the security of your device, operating system, or any third-party software installed on your Mac. ShotCraft is not responsible for any data loss, unauthorized access, or security breaches that occur on your device due to factors outside our control. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own device and data.
